As a member of the Canadian Society for Training and Development for over 10 years, I'm so proud to offer our facilities at The Royal to our local chapter of CSTD for a "Learn@Work Week" event that explores the often challenging realm of evaluation.
I encourage all my colleagues in the region to join us for this event. Here are the details that have been provided by our event organizer, Alan Daly who is a Learning
Specialist in the Learning & Development Division, Enforcement Branch of Enforcement Services Directorate at Environment Canada
To fully understand how effective a training program was in
meeting the requirements for application on the job, an evaluation must be
performed. A thorough evaluation can be measured on several different levels and
it will involve a variety of factors. In this workshop you will learn
about:
• The different levels of evaluation
• The selection criteria for different levels of
evaluation in a learning project
• Evaluation instruments and how to select
them
• Management concerns in evaluation and how to
address them
This interactive and engaging workshop is geared towards
instructional designers, courseware developers, trainers and learning managers
who want to learn more about evaluation and how important it is to validating
the effectiveness of a training program.
